Jambalaya
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1/2 cup chopped white onion
1 large green pepper, cut in strips
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 tsp minced garlic
1/3 cup butter
1/2 to 1 lb raw shrimp peeled and clean
2 dozen raw oysters (about 1 cup)
1 lb can of tomatoes
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne
1 cup raw rice
Cook.
Hint:
Here are some ideas for varying the recipe especially if you don’t like
shrimp and oysters.
Use sausage and polish sausage and you can use as hot or spicy a sausage.
You can also use chicken or ham. Use more garlic and if you want it hotter
add some cayenne pepper to taste.
