Cocktails

Oatmeal Cookie Martini.

Combine the ingredients with some ice in a martini shaker and go to town. Surprisingly, it works pretty well. Modifications welcome.

1 part Jagermiester
1 part Baileys (or other Irish cream)
1 part butterscotch liqueur (Buttershots)
½ part cinnamon liqueur (such as Hot Damn)

Chocolate-covered Cherry Martini Recipe

2 parts Smirnoff Black Cherry Vodka
1 part Godiva dark chocolate liqueur
1 part Godiva white chocolate liqueur

Drizzle some chocolate syrup on the inside of the glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Works best if the vodka comes out of the freezer so it won’t melt the ice in the shaker.

Pumpkin 'tini

2 oz. Bols Pumpkin Smash Liqueur - chilled
1 oz. Vodka - chilled
1 or 2 Candy corn pieces

Combine Vodka & Pumpkin Smash in a shaker with ice, shake well and strain into chilled Martini glasses. Drop candy corn pieces into bottom of glass.
 

Rosy Cocktail

2 ounces Gold Tequila
3 ounces cranberry juice
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces Grand Marnier
2 slices lime
Pour the tequila, cranberry juice, and lime juice over ice and shake well. Pour, with a strainer over the shaker, into a chilled 7 ounce stemmed wine glass. Splash with Grand Marnier and place the lime slice on top
Yield: 2 cocktails

Red Rooster

1 1/2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail
1 (6-ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, defrosted
2 cups vodka
Combine all of the ingredients in a large plastic container. Freeze for several hours. It will not freeze solid, but rather achieve the consistency of a slushy. Scoop into punch cups or wine glasses and serve.
Yield: 2 quarts

Latinopolitan

Ice
6 ounces Bacardi Limon
2 ounces triple sec
4 tablespoons lime juice
2 1/2 tablespoons cranberry juice
4 mint leaves
Put the ice in a cocktail shaker add the rum, triple sec, lime juice and cranberry juice and shake well. Strain into 4 chilled martini glasses and float a mint leaf inside.
Yield: 4 servings

Honey Tangerine Martini

2 ounces Absolut Mandarin
3/4 ounce Campari
1 ounce freshly squeezed honey tangerine juice
Orange peel strip to garnish
Shake all ingredients in an ice-filled mixing glass. Strain into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with orange peels.

Valentine Fizz

bright red fruit juice
soda or seltzer
slices of lemon, lime or orange
ice cube tray
1. Make up trays consisting of the juices you wish to make into cubes.
2. Place the trays in the freezer.
3. Mix together even amounts of red juice and the soda or seltzer into a glass and add the juice cubes.
4. On top of the drink place a slice of lemon, lime or orange to add a bit of festivity.

Hot Buttered Rum

1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
1 1/2 ounces dark rum
Sugar to taste
1 stick cinnamon
Pat of butter
Heat the pineapple juice until it steams, don't boil it. In a large mug with the cinnamon stick, stir together the rum and sugar. Pour the hot pineapple juice over rum. Float pat of butter on top. Serve immediately.
Yield: 1 serving

Hot Cider Rum Punch

1 cup rum
4 cup apple cider
1 cup cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice
1 cinnamon stick
4 orange slices
4 cloves
Insert cloves into center of orange slices. Combine all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a simmer. Serve warm

Mulled Wine

2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
1 fresh whole nutmeg
2 oranges, thinly sliced
1 bottle red wine
Combine 2 cups of water with the sugar and spices in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Add the orange slices, remove pan from the heat and let sit for 15 minutes. Stir in the wine. Reheat gently over low heat, never allowing to boil. Serve hot, in heated glasses.
Yield: 8 servings
