Angi Newman

Angi joined the Dr. Don Morning show in the fall of 2005. She, like most interns, comes to us from the Specs School of Broadcast Arts and Stamping Plant in Southfield.

Angi is a quiet one but don’t let that fool you. When she has something to say on or off mic, a herd of pregnant water buffaloes couldn’t hold her back. She’s really quite opinionated and has a good on air presence.

Angi lives with her family in Farmington Hills and drives a vintage Yugo, which she is very proud of. In fact, she likes to challenge her skills each spring when the wind whips up by making 20 to 30 trips a day across the Big Mac Bridge up north.

In her spare time, Angi enjoys shopping at Noir Leather in Royal Oak, raising sheep and refereeing NHL hockey games.

As for her future, Angi says: “Having seen what it’s like in the control room with Dr. Don and his co-horts, I think I’ll probably head in another direction. I might run for governor or perhaps open up an offshore sports betting web site.”

Angi was a popular addition to the Dr. Don Morning show and we we wish her all the best with future endeavors.  She's very talented and we wouldn't be surprised if her name winds up on the airwaves in Detroit.  Yeah, like cops calling her name in on the two-way radio checking for wants and warrants the next time she gets pulled over for doing 90....on a sidewalk....in a school zone!
